My book is officially a #1 Best Seller*
*In the very specific subcategory of Australian & Oceanian Studies on that freaky billionaires book site, but hey, I'll take it!
It's been a big week of pinching. First, it was a pinch and a punch for the first of the month, and on the second, I was pinching myself. Yesterday was a day I've been dreaming about for almost two years. I spent the day visiting local Sydney bookstores, meeting the incredible staff, and signing copies of "Better Things Are Possible." Seeing my book sitting there on actual shelves, nestled between so many other titles, finally made it real.
This book, which spent so much of its time as an abstract mess of words, sentences, and ideas - that took years to take shape into something worth sharing, is now going to be in people's hands as they ride buses and trains, sit by the ocean, or read under trees. That feels pretty special.
For those who need a refresher (or are just discovering it), Better Things Are Possible is my case for choosing hope over apathy in the face of everything that feels broken right now. The housing crisis, climate change, gender inequity, our mental health epidemic, a media landscape in freefall, politicians who seem increasingly out of touch... If you're feeling overwhelmed, you're not alone.
But here's the thing: we created these systems, so we can recreate them. We just need the courage to get informed, get connected, and show up for the future we want.
You can find it at your local bookstore here or online here.
Huge thanks to Allen & Unwin for believing in this book and me as an author. There's something very meaningful about being published by a house that's been championing Australian voices and progressive ideas for decades.
Congrats! Very exciting! ✨
